Almay Product Review

SO I am pretty loyal when it comes to makeup products. I have been religiously using Aveeno BB Cream for years and love it as a daily tinted moisturizer. (Seriously, I love it and believe me I will give it its own post very soon)

Now that summer is here I have been struggling with what colour of Aveeno BB Cream to use as I have started to get a tan so I am at that weird stage between light and medium, in terms of their product. I have been mixing both colours together in order to find a tone that worked well with my almost tanned skin. I decided I wanted to invest in a product that I have had my eye on for many years; Almay Smart Shade Skin Tone Matching Makeup. I was so intrigued to see if it really worked, and how accurate it was.

Well... I loved it. It definitely lived up to my expectations. The foundation came out white and then changed to match my skin tone as soon as I began to blend it in.

Things I liked about the product:

• It matched my skin tone perfectly

• It made my skin incredibly soft - Tyler even pointed out how soft my skin felt

• It didn't look like I had anything on, yet my complexion was evenly

• It was not oily

• It was also not completely matte though, It provided the perfect amount of dewiness to my skin to make my skin look natural and bare

• The product was so light. It made me feel fresh faced

Things I didn't like about the product:

• The bottle is only 30 mL - so it won't last very long

• It is a very sheer coverage - I don't believe the product would cover blemishes very well but for everyday use and a natural look it does the job

I would 100% recommend this BB Cream. I felt very confident when Tyler and I went out for date night knowing my skin looked even and pretty - It gave me that "comfortable in my own skin" sensation. I also bought the Almay Smart Shade Powder Blush. I wasn't going to splurge on so much makeup today but I was intrigued and my 'old faithful' blush was almost empty.

I really liked it. It was incredibly light and did not cake my face. It provided me with the natural rosy cheek look that I love so much. It wasn't too pink like many I have tried often are (even my 'old faithful') it gave me the perfect shade of pink on the apples of my cheeks. I was very happy with the results and recommend both these products! I already promised my sister I would take her out to buy them when I visit home next weekend for a few days!
